We were lucky to get an RV site at the fairgrounds. We visited the hot air balloon festival in 2017 and wrote a post about our fantastic experience. The event is attended by nearly 750,000 visitors each year, many of whom come from out of town in their RVs looking for a place to stay. It is truly a beautiful sight to see hundreds of hot air balloons take off over the Sandia mountains and land each day.
